NASCAR has come and gone. Now the track at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is ready to host locals.
Twelve times a year the Speedway hosts MOPAR Midnight Mayhem. Legal drag racing is open to all licensed drivers operating street-legal vehicles.
For $15 per car, drivers can rev up their engines and race around the quarter-mile track for thrills and braggin’ rights. You don’t need to own a Ferrari to participate (although there will be some there.) Minivans have sped around the track, too. And rookies are welcome.
Racing your own car around a professional track has to be on the bucket list of every race car enthusiast.
Drivers younger than 18 must have a signed parental permission form. And all cars must have proof of insurance. This is drag racing, after all.
Spectators can cheer on their favorite drivers for $5.
Friday, March 14 at 6 pm is the next MOPAR Midnight Mayhem event.
